Baby Shower Gift Ideas

So one of your friends or family members is having a baby, congratulations to them! You want to get them a gift, but you don't know what it is they want or need. Hopefully this article will be able to help you out a little bit.

First off check to see if they are registered somewhere. Sometimes before a baby shower the new parents will register somewhere and pick out the stuff they need for the new addition to the family, allowing you to get them a gift and they get what they want. If this is the case, awesome and all your work is done for you. If not, don't worry there are still plenty of options.

If you are not really worried about a budget then you can afford to get some cool baby gifts. Essentials like a crib, a stroller a car seat, and things of that nature can get pricey for the parents so if you can afford to help them out with that, it would really help out. But lets face it sometimes we just can afford to drop that kind of cash on our friends. So what else can you get them that would help out?

The first things a baby gets really good at is pooping and sleeping so helping out and getting some diapers is a great idea. The parents are going to run through these like water so helping them to stock up will be a help. Pacifiers also get run through pretty quickly. They have a tendency to get dropped and thrown on the floor and then they are dirty, so having some fresh ones as a back up is always nice.

Getting baby clothes is a great gift idea as well. With the Internet it is really easy to find some hip baby clothes. Of course getting a dressy outfit for the kid is nice, but think practicality as well. Baby's also grow out of clothes fast which is a good thing to remember. Cool t-shirts like Johnny Cash baby clothes are always fun as well. These t-shirts are great because babies tend to get messy, and the clothes take the brunt of it. Having funny t-shirts keeps the baby looking good and provides mom and dad with easy care.

If you happen to be very strapped for cash, little things like offering to help around the house when the baby comes or offering to run and do some errands when are a huge help. You can always design a nice card with a "coupon" inside with the offer on it. Having a baby is tough work, and I'm sure the new parents will be a bit nervous so offering your help and support will mean a lot to them. The thought of the gift usually counts the most, so if you think about it I am sure that with this list and some knowledge of the perspective parents you will be able to come up with a thoughtful and great gift. Good Luck!
